They use aluminum blind rivets with a steel mandrel I believe.
They're available from McMaster Carr in various sizes.

Unfortunately, it might be a week or two before I can get the AB-577
down to
look at the C3S and assess the rivet failure.
Before I "just put a new one in", I'd like to know how to avoid
having to
"just put another one in", 6 or 12 months down the road.
