Balun's don't cure feedline radiation, chokes do and they are not the same
thing.  73,

A yagi basically wants to work so it is surprising for one to perform
significantly worse than similar sized antennas. One issue could be
feedline radiation from not using a balun.  According to N0AX, the manual
of their test antenna said not to use one.

I loved my classic 33....in the 70s.

No too many components to screw up....

Rather than just talking about performance or perceived performance,
let's get some data or anecdotes on WHY these devices perform as such.

So to what do we/you attribute the lack of performance???
traps ???  feed arrangements??  element length/spacing ???\\
