My two towers are a collection of new old stock and used Rohn sections. The new-old stock sections came with Rohn hardware -- two sizes of fine thread. For the used sections, I bought the same rated parts from McMaster.

I use Rohn bolts on my tower. There are no extra lock nuts required. I
have never come across a Rohn bolt that came loose, since installation in
1998. Even if the nut came loose, I cannot imagine how the bolts could come
out by themselves. I do not think I could even get them out without
relieving the pressure from the tower section above, and using a drift.

Many Rohn products that attach to the tower, such as the ROHN Guy Bracket
Assembly GA45GD for 45G, are supplied with lock nuts. I always use these
nuts as instructed. I have never found the need to use any other hardware.
