3-60 likely means that the balun is good from 3 to 60MHz. There are a lot of
commercial 4:1 baluns that will work, I believe your KLM has a dual driven
element. If it were mine I would turn it into an OWA and use a 1:1 choke.

I recently picked up a KLM six element 15 m beam on a 36 foot boom the
gentleman I got the antenna from said he believed the balun was no good .
The balun is listed as a Mirage/KLM 3-60-4:1 5kw balun.
I was curious if anyone had any experience with this antenna or knew of a
Balun that would be a good substitute. I'm also not sure what the 3-60
means.
I'm thinking of refurbishing it if it seems worthwhile. At the least I'll
need mounting plate and clamps the boom is 3".
I have the manual but it doesn't go into any detail on the balun.
Any info would be appreciated.
