or get a second steppir for the second radio.....thats what Im doing, currently 
building a 2L with 40m trombone out of a 4L I got from a SK estate.....then 
time to rebuild my 3L with the EHUs left over...the 2L is on 5 ft boom, and 
will be replacing a Cushcraft rotary dipole with 40m on it....

SteppIR is not what you want for contesting with multiple radios and 
quick band changes. If you don't care then it is fine.  As I get older, 
I am only 54, and young I have less and less desire to climb or do 
antenna stuff.  The SteppIR's can require more service.

What I would do is copy what W2RE is doing with the Remote Ham Radio stuff.
