Rich,

In my professional life I deal with control cables and the like.  Several 
different marking systems out there.  Bear in mind, my cables are rarely 
exposed to water or sun, if at all.  Half are exposed to temperature (outdoor). 
 Google is your friend.  Search for "cable markers" or other such descriptions 
and see what you like.
