DXEngineering has "bent pin shackles" combined with an insulator for making the
connection. But they ain't cheap.

I understand from previous posts that there is value in connecting a
Phillystran guy cable to the steel tower with an insulator. This avoids
grounding the 3 ft long Phillystran big grip to the tower connection
point, which will distort the pattern of nearby yagis. What have people
done to connect the insulator to the tower? It would not be sensible to
use two EHS big grips back to back with a short piece of EHS between
them (one EHS BG at the insulator and the other at the tower), as that
would defeat the purpose of the insulator. Is there a connection means
between the 502 insulator and a thimble that is only a few inches long?

Jim, W8WTS
