[AMPS] Amateur amps on 11 meters

Peter,
It doesn't stop there. First, it is against the law (FCC) to utilize
commercially made amplifiers for out-of-band operation. Second, for every 1
sloppy CBer on 11 meters, it cost 5-10 hams respect due to the amount of
RFI/TI generated with their illegally operated amps. Couple that with the
super-duper power microphones, and the poor signal quality, people think
that everyone with a tower and coax is a Sloppy CBer. Most of the hams at
least have been down the road to where they had to clean up their signal at
100 watts before thinking about running 1KW.
That's my nickels worth of free advice.
