Richard,
I was wondering has anyone tried hitting the relay 2 or 3 times the coil
voltage?
The equipment I work with, to get faster times on air valves we take a circuit
and hit the coil with a little over 3 times the coil voltage for 7-10ms and
then ramp the
voltage down to about 1/2 of the coil voltage for holding.
Not sure if the mechanical parts of the vacuum relay can hold up to this
never had one apart it may be worth testing.
Just a thought.
Bennie
