That is a kindness I'm sure Jose will appreciate Keith.  I would still
burnish the contacts and check the mechanical alignment on the open frame
relay before changing it out for the twin relay update, to be sure about the
root cause of the problem. If the switching is correct, then onward towards
evaluating the condition of the 8877.

The relay mod is without question well worth doing in the long run.  It will
add life to the 8877 by avoiding the hot switching and subsequent arcing
while trying to run VOX for example.
