So how do you tell the difference between the mahemetician, the physicist, the accountant and the engineer?
You ask 'What's 2 plus 2?'
The mathematician says 'Four'
The physicist says 'Within the limits of experimental error, 4 plus or minus a small amount'
The accountant checks that no-one is listening, and asks 'What sort of sum did you have in mind?'
The engineer says 'Four, but we'll call it eight to be on the safe side'.
