[Amps] illegal amps?

Did the same thing here.   Picked up a Palomar 300 (one with the external transformer) for 20 bucks from a CBer who was
moving and didnt want to take it with him.  Did a little changing to eliminate any harmonics and it is usable on 40 through 10.
10 to 20 watts in gets up to 500 out.   Will be great when 10 meter AM comes back in.
 
One word of caution.  When using an HTX 10 especially, turn down the audio gain to cut down the power output on SSB.
Otherwise you have WAY too much output for driving these amps.
