I have little doubt their reference to the "horse's mouth" was correct, with the
possible exception that the individual was so ugly his mother painted a smile on
his butt and taught him to walk backwards.

Subject: Moving filters from TS120/130 to TS940
Message-ID: <199608101903.MAA08528 at netcom3.netcom.com>

I have the following:

	Three TS130 filters, 250, 500 & 1800 Hz (YK88C/CN/SN)
TS940SAT with no accessory filters added
	YG455S-1 standard SSB plug-in filters for TS950

The YG455S-1's were bought cheaply from amateur electronic supply a
couple of years ago to use in some homebrew projects.

Here is what I have in mind: Take 3 of the YG455S-1 filters, and
remove the filter itself from the plug-in PC board. Then, install
the three 8.8 MHz filters onto the PC boards, and plug them into
the TS940.

Does anyone on the list have experience with this maneuver? It seems
it will be the zero-dollar way to get my 940 improved performance,
instead of buying a set of filters for it.

Comments? Advice? Criticism? Are the various parts compatible in the
way I've proposed?

Any help gratefully appreciated,
