There is some information about 4 port cards on the CT web page:

	http://ve7tcp.ampr.org/Software/ct/ct-4port.html

Unfortunately some of the information may not be up-to-date. One of these
days...

I bought a Flexport 42 and it worked just fine.

I wonder if anyone out there knows of any tsr programmes that can be used with CT or NA to provide an operator name pop-up on the fly.

I know TR has this facility built in, but was wondering if someone out there has a bolt on extra which would do the job for the others.

Dear Friends,

In mid-February from 8th to 20th we (HA0UZ YL Ildiko and me) are coming
to Florida. We only have reserved dates for the first three days of the
trip (that is, February 8 through 10) and we are looking for hams who
are willing to meet (and probably host) us for a day or two. We will
stay in Orlando from 8-10 February and we will have a rental car. We
would like to see as much as possible, both entertainment and ham
radio-wise. Perhaps someone could use an experienced op in ARRL CW as
well?

If you are interested, please contact me on the above EMail address.

I have a TSR called "HamPop" that uses the QRZ! Ham Radio database and
works with CT, NA, or stand alone. It will pick up the call letters from
the call field, or you can enter a call directly when you call it up.
Parameters can be defined like screen position, colors, and where to find
the call. I forget where I found it, but have it posted for download on
my LL BBS, the Brass Pounder, (954) 472-7715.

The following was issued recently. I haven't seen it on the reflector, and
so you may have missed it. I will post another one after this one.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Changes to ARRL International DX Contest Rules

The ARRL Contest Advisory Committee and the ARRL Awards Committee have voted

in favor of a change in rules for multioperator single- and two-transmitter
categories regarding permitted band changes. The current rules require a
station to remain on a band for at least 10 minutes once operation has begun

on that band. The new rule, which will not take effect until the 1998
contest, allows for 6 band changes per hour. This does not allow more
changes in an hour than the present rule, but it does allow a station to
quit an unproductive band after a single contact.

As a reminder, DXpedition scores are being added to the club aggregate
competition totals for active affiliated clubs in the ARRL International DX
Contest effective 1997. The present rules requires that single guest
operators and the station licensee must be members of the same club. This
rule has been waived for DXpeditions only.

The present rule says that at least 66% of the operators in a multi-operator

entry must be members of the same club for the score to count for that club.

That rule remains in effect, as do all other club-competition rules.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

More ARRL Contest Rules Changes

First, the ARRL Contest Advisory Committee and the ARRL Awards Committee
have voted in favor of a change in rules for ARRL VHF and UHF contests.
Rules have prohibited the use of "repeaters or repeater frequencies on 2
meters for the purpose of soliciting contacts." The change removes "on 2
meters" from the rules, thus prohibiting the use of all repeaters and
repeater frequencies regardless of band.

Second, club winner certificates for the five ARRL contests with Club
Competition will now be administered by the participating clubs. This
leaves the clubs free to choose their own "most valuable players." In the
past, the certificates issued from ARRL Hq went only to top-finishing
(unassisted - multiband) single operators for each club.

Third, the ARRL Contest Advisory Committee and the ARRL Awards Committee
have voted in favor of no change in the ARRL 160-Meter Contest exchange.
The votes defeated a proposal that would have added power level to the
exchange.
