The only problem I ever had was in the security check at Grand Cayman.  I
had the my FT-990 wrapped in a large beach towel and then placed in a soft
carry-on bag.  The inspector asked me to unpack it so she could inspect it,
then started grilling me with a multitude of questions.  She wanted to know
how much it cost, how much it was worth, what frequencies it used, how much
power it generated, etc., etc.  Finally she got to the bottom line:  would I
sell it to her so she could use it to talk to her family in Honduras on 40m
SSB?
