As a avid 40 meter RTTY Dxer that wouldn't work since RTTY DX is down from
7.025 to 7.045.

Better hope the band gets a lot larger. The problem is that there are a lot
of things happening in a tight space. During contests you operate where you
need to and DXing is the same. As SSB is the widest use of the frequency is
just has to suffer a bit as do the other modes.
