[CQ-Contest] web cam solicitation

Do you mean that posting to this board (and others) that I will be
taking part in a contest is considered solitation ?  How about the
announcements in the amateur radio media that so and so are traveling to
a certain location and will be using a special call during the contest.
These are posted in DX related bulletins on the Internet. Do you also
consider this solitation by non-amateur radio means?

If so then many many of the records set must be considered void because
of the non-radio solitation of contacts.
