Maybe we should agree on a coding system with 30 or 40 elements and
let everybody report their scores and select their category by
stringing together the appropriate codes. I'm filing in the
SO1RLPTSCLIDBUSWMINSHGMIIWSATCS (single-op one radio low power two
small children limited income damp basement unsupportive wife man I
never should have gotten married if I was serious about this
contesting stuff) category.

This thread reminds me of a sadly autobiographical story I'd like to
share with my friends and collegues.

I showed great promise as a youth baseball player and was widely
regarded as potential major leaguer. My coaches identified a few early
obstacles however - I couldn't hit very well, I couldn't throw with
any accuracy, and I was error prone. Other than that, I could've been
a contender.

I'd rather watch an email stream which contains information on how to
win by improving my station rather than by cheating or changing the
rules. Sheeesh!
