Currently, the Cabrillo format does not have any way
for a user to assign "zero points" to a line. It is
obviously the intention of Cabrillo that all points
(and multipliers) be calculated/assigned by the
sponsors. Consistent with that, no logging s/w that I
am familiar with provides any method to zero-out a QSO.

I know from experience that occasional mis-hit (IMO,
that word sure needs a hyphen!) keys can dump an
entered call completely (damned CT bandmap) and it has
left me with no choice but to not enter any call at
all (since I cannot remember enough of the call to
even come close: remember, more than one letter off
and the other guy gets dinged anyway). So I just
carry on, knowing I just cost someone a Q and 3X in
penalty.

Do I like it? No.
Is it fair (to him)? No.
Is it a reasonable price to pay? Yes. I'm sure my call
has been dropped from others' logs numerous times as
well. (At least that's how I rationalize all those
NILs I get.)
