Good Day ALL,
I thought some of you might be interested in seeing a page I threw
together which attempts to capture the sites and sounds of the 10m
position @ W3LPL during the CQWW SSB 2001 test. The interest to this
group may be the streaming MP3 audio of the entire contest, which Ive
made available to all web users, given off course you have a streaming
MP3 player like www.WinAMP.com , Real, or the latest MS media player.
Audio should be easily copiable, even over a 28kbps connection. There
is also a bit of analysis in the presentation, but the intro and site
itself is geared to explaining "contesting" to the
non-ham/non-contester.
This is my second attempt at digitally capturing an HF test. You will
see a link to my first attempt, ARRL DX SSB 2000, when I had an
oppurtunity to op the W3LPL 15m position. The main difference between
then and now is that recently Ive begun capturing audio in 1 minute
chunks allowing quick access to any time during the test and Ive built
a search engine to allow finding and listening to a call/QSO, country
prefix or CQ zone number. This is all still very experimental, but
nonetheless fun to play with!
Hope you get a chance to check it out, and let me know how/if it works
for you! See:

As always, thanks to Frank/W3LPL for putting together and maintaining a
fantastic station...and go PVRC!
Good DX'n
