Can I ask a question?  I worked a little of the sweepstakes and I saw the
original post.  Can someone explain why the callsign is part of the
exchange?

I found it quite cumbersome to make a contact using my name (sometimes
having to repeat to get through QRM/QRN/Low signals) only to put my call
into the "required" exchange.  I can see the serial number, check number and
section - not the callsign.  To what purpose is it there?
