[CQ-Contest] Short contest calls.

It is not just a matter of loading the right computer data table...
truncated calls are a little confusing. Folks get used to longer calls. In
Canada, when I used VY1A, friends wanted to put the "J" in the call and
others not used to hearing VY1JA, expected a letter after the A... at least
the normal 2x2 they are used to hearing.
Other Canadians using totally unusual calls like CK7Z do not have that
problem, but instead may be asked where they are. (Going back to entering
computer data... not your fault, Jim)
I find 1x1 calls confusing on first glance, and am sure that I am not the
only one. My goodness, with a location advantage like Guam in the first
place, does anyone there NEED a 1x1 call to help with the contests?
And yet, for most, contesting is about using every tool within the rules to
get the highest possible score. I hope the missing letter helped, Guam.
:o)

J.
