how about you operate the whole 48 hours and then select only your best 24 hours for the contest entry?

Seriously, although there is no way I could ever do the whole 48 anymore I do not think that the opportunity should be denied anyone who has the stamina to do it.  Us old dinosaurs need to realize that there are newcomers to contesting and they are willing and able to go all out.
