When I worked at a major electronics manufacturer we had a very 
experienced industrial RN who's opinion I trusted. She said carpal 
tunnel problems are very rare in males. It's almost exclusively a 
female problem. Note the words "rare" and "almost". There are 
exceptions but they are just that - exceptions. The average male ham 
need not worry.
