So important and I think a lot of us miss it.

The best of the best understand intimately the difference between a 
"rate" contest and a "multiplier" contest and work accordingly. The 
rest of us, including me, just flounder along working everything with 
no particular strategy and wonder why we come in second (or worse). :-)
