Hi Olli,

I admit this will be a bit of work to implement while not perfectly insuring logging integrity as editing might be possible.
However, about "resetting the computer's clock", the logging software can also check that current time is not inferior to the last QSO time... easy to implement and that will be a further step guaranteeing log integrity.

The goal is to make log padding less easy, because today it's really too tempting, being only a matter of copy/paste in a text editor.
In IARU HF, it's even "traditional" for some HQ stations to just take the call book and run it into your log as you can go away with it without cross-checking possibility.
The problem for Vietnam is that even if I manually add all the licensed operator to my HQ log, that will only give me 50 QSOs...

The "for the few guys that are a problem" argument is not relevant however. Because it will of course allow to discourage some cheaters, but also give the "honest participant" the recognition of their performance. It works two ways.
Even more, you can also argue that this will only concern 3-10 guys among the thousands of contesters : the winners... Even if the contest is not organized only for those few guys (the winners), it is necessary for all the participant to guarantee that the winners really deserve their price.

73,
Yan.
