Gerry makes EXCELLENT points. Excellent !

I do a fair number of contests, including the weekly CWT's.(which
technically aren't contests)

If I come across Don, N4ZZ @42wpm, I call him at 42 wpm and I know 95% of
the time, he'll never need a fill.

In, out, bing, bang, boom. In QSO parties, I know I have called him @
45wpm... I will even stick around if prop is not good, as I know he'll work
3 more guys in the next 20-30 seconds, and I'll get him on the 4th call.

Good on ya QRQ guys...good on ya !

Mike VE9AA...not quite QRQ, but working on it...slowly but surely..;-)
<<(that was a joke)

===========

For most guys, speed, especially if you are

accurate, is a great marketing technique -- fast in and out. If someone

is S&Ping, and the come across a station sending slow and/or making

mistakes, they are more likely to pass by.

If S&P, I answer close to the callers sending speed.

I think I'm slow, compared to some ops. N3DXX comes to mind.

73, and may the QRQ be with you!
