[CQ-Contest] IC-7300 VS IC-7410

 I'm very interested in hearing more about negative experiences with the 7300receiver.  I understand and appreciate the tx phase noise issue.

I've been using one for a few years now and find the receiver to be very wellbehaved and have never had an issue with the ADC overflow (OVF) at my meagersingle tower, SO1R station located in a quiet semi-rural neighborhood.
Prior to the 7300, I was using a tricked out FT-1000MP with all the INRAD filters(including roofing) installed.  There were many times that the MP's receiver wouldhave issues (noticeable artifacts, blocking, etc.) in a crowded and intense contest.I have not experienced any of these issues with the 7300 receiver.  The antennaswere identical with the MP and 7300.

I only seriously contest using CW, so I cannot opine on other modes.

Hi Frank, 

Do you mean the IC-7300 is a fantastic radio for contest use? 
The receiver has really major issues under crowded band conditions.
