MikeI don't think they were interlocked because they were operating from multiple different station locations with the same callsign on different bands. I think the WPX rule is that all the stations have to be in the same CQ zone. That's a pretty good area stretching from ME to FL. This is different from your typical multi-op remote, like NR6O, where the operators are operating remote to one station location( i.e N6RO) with multiple stations. In the case of WW1X I think most of their stations were in New England. One of their stations was here in Georgia at W8JI's station.  JeffSent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphone

I know one of the guys that was part of the WW1X team lives in a high-rise apartment, with absolutely no chance to get on the air at all except with perhaps an indoor antenna, low power, and FT-8. > > The more people we can get active in contesting, the better we all will be. I'm sure not all of those 26 operators had 100 foot towers with stacks of yagis home to work with. They had that chance to be a big gun, and had fun.
