Sarah,
Looking in the 1850 Union County census, I found William McClure listed
with wife's name as NELLY, age 29, born NC. Jane is listed as 2 years old,
born Ga as expected. Jane's sister name is Sara, age 4 and sister Amanda,
age 7, all children born in Georgia. Living next door was a Peggy McClure,
age 27, b. NC with several children. Next to them was a Mary Hooper age 29,
b. NC, with several children. Also living close by, I find Henry
Picklesimer, who married Mary Hooper, daughter of Absalom Hooper and Martha
Kelly, grandchild of Absalom Hooper, which are also living close by.
I got to believe your line ties into this family some how. Wish I could help
you more.
Ron
