By now many of you have probably heard the tragic news of the four C6APR
team members dying in a plane crash early Wednesday morning as they were
headed to Crooked Island, Bahamas.

On board the twin-engine Piper PA-23 were pilot W2GJ/C6APR (ex WN3TXL,
W3TXL, W2DIQ), Peter Radding, of North Charleston, SC, K3IXD/C6AXD, Edwin F.
Steeble, of Summerville, SC, K4QO/C6AQO, James R. Hargenrader, of
Summerville, SC, and W3PP (ex K3WUW), E. Dallas Carter, of Laurel, DE.
Three of the team (W2GJ, K3IXD and W3PP) were members of the Potomac Valley
Radio Club.  They departed early yesterday morning and were headed to
Crooked Island, Bahamas via Fort Pierce, FL.  The plane crash took place
just after they cleared the runway at the Summerville, SC airport.  Our
thoughts and prayers go out to all of the families and friends of the C6APR
crew.
