What a great event the NAQP CW has become. Scores and participation seem
to just keep going up. Single ops are approaching 2,000 contacts in 10
hours of operating! Take a look at N2IC's 3830 report if you want to see
something amazing. Steve started the contest with a 267 Q hour! He
worked over 1100 unique calls. I count 40 stations with over 1,000
contacts. I thought I was doing pretty good to approach 900 contacts,
but I'll be lucky to end up in the top 100.
Personally I had a lot of trouble getting any runs going on 20, and 40
was also very tough, but 80 and 160 were incredible. And it was fun to
work all 50 states in this contest. That doesn't happen very often.
I think I worked most members who were active but I only worked a lot of
our team members once or twice. I guess we were all busy running.
Special mention is due to the fantastic score from the W2FU guys. Jeff's
team really knows how to operate this contest!
Thanks to everyone for getting on and don't forget to submit your logs
within the five-day limit.

Comments:
I got up at 3:50AM my time and operated for two hours, took a nice hot
Japanese
bath during my break, then operated the rest of the contest. I really miss
having SO2R, but this Q total is one of my better ones so I can't
complain too
much. Mults way down though. Great fun!
