[RFI] Snap on split beads; coax high-pass filter recommendations

Can anyone actually pin down the material type from data sheets or tests
of the Radio Shack snap-on ferrites?  I have seen a couple opinions posted
about them as to type of material but no real solid facts backing those
opinions up.   Certainly no one can simply look at them and guess what
they are.   There was no info on the packages for the 2 cores I purchased
recently. So does anyone really know for sure beyond conjecture or
guesswork?    Thank you
