This e-mail arrived during my weekly QRT. A few thoughts:
1. The volunteers who run the two RAC contests do a great job. I, as a
non-resident RAC member, appreciate their efforts, and the efforts of all
the RAC volunteers.
2. I love working North Americans (some of you might prefer working DX),
and I still get a big charge out of working Canadians. Hence, RAC contests
are my second favorite after SS. And it's great for me that Canada Day
usually has no conflicts with that weekly QRT; and I'm content with my
personal choice to miss most of every Winter 'Test (and the NAQPs).
3. It's rewarding to have a winning effort recognized, but...
4. This was a smaller-than-token effort:

Should there be a cut-off for awards, like "highest batting average,
minimum 250 at bats"? I dunno; maybe somebody really wants to win the
Nunavit 160M Phone-only QRP Class. Any thoughts?

Only 22 months (or so) until I can travel to WPG for Canada Day 2019
