Greetings fellow Amateurs!

The Western Amateur Radio Association is going to participate in
Field Day 2006! As we have done in the past, we are inviting
individuals and groups who may not have Field Day plans to participate with us.

WARA (N6ME) finished 1st for 6A in 2004 and placed 9th overall in the
nation! We put forward a SERIOUS effort which allows the novice
operator and first-time Field Day participant, all the way up to a
seasoned contester to participate at their level! EVERYONE is
encouraged to participate! Whether setting up antennas and running
cables, cooking food, or sitting your butt in a chair and operating
is your thing, there is a job for you at a Field Day site!

We have a Chuck Wagon that cooks complete lunch, dinner and mid-rats
(midnight chow) for Saturday, and a full breakfast for Sunday
morning! There are drinks and snacks throughout the entire
event. We also rent a 25KW diesel generator that is quiet and
efficient and set up in a public school yard with great exposure to
the public. We supply the location, power, and food!

So, if you do NOT already have plans for Field Day; if your club does
not have a large enough participation to put your own effort
together; if you have absolutely no idea how to spell Field Day; then
I would like to invite you to come to WARA for a great time and
experience! If your group would like to take over an entire station
(for example, 20 phone), I invite you to send a representative to our
first Field Day meeting on March 17th, 2006 in Garden Grove. Contact
me directly for meeting location and time.

Again, this is only for those who do NOT have plans! Please support
your group if they are participating in Field Day! Besides, we need
to work you! We would just like to see EVERYONE participate in this
worthwhile event, even if you just want to stop by and check us out!

If you have any questions, please contact me directly at k6rix at earthlink.net

73 and GL in FD!
