HI Jim (K6ZH),
Thanks for the notice.......   sad...sad...
I've known Alan for over 40 years...  we go way back to my days when I was in KH6 (on Oahu) and then remember meeting himat numerous DX Conventions from back in the late 70's and 80's.....   I had lost tract of him for nearly 20 years when I hear a very familiar voice as K07X and his recounting our days from KH6!!!!   I recall that he seemed to be struggling a bit to talk - probablyfrom some speech related problem just within the last year (not more than two)...     
I remember his fondly; I'll certainly miss him....
