[SCCC] Brain Trust--Transfer of Callsign License Plates

I've done this twice, both times trading in at the dealer. I took the plates with me. They did whatever they needed to do with the paperwork. When the new plates came for the new vehicle, I took them to the DMV and completed the late transfer. No big deal. (I also still have my old WA6 plates [hanging in the garage]).

Hank,

I just went to AAA, and told them what I wanted to do. I don't remember
the exact process, but the plates remained in my custody. I had to wait
until the regular plates arrived to go on the new car before I went back
to AAA to complete the registration change to the ham plates on the new
car.
