The amateur radio station at W6TAI's house near Joshua Tree, California has been stolen and the major items are now listed for sale on eBay. The equipment is owned by N6NB.

The equipment includes an Ameritron AL572 amplifier (S/N AL572-12099), an Icom IC706 (early model, S/N 004245), a Yaesu G-1000DXA rotator control box (incorrectly listed by the eBay seller as a G800, but his photo clearly shows that it's a G1000), and a MFJ 4245MV 45-amp switching power supply.

All of these items have distinguishing characteristics such as a ding in the paint that clearly identify them as ours even if the serial numbers are removed. All are being offered by one seller who joined eBay about the time of the burglary and ransacking of Carrie's house. The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department sent a deputy out to investigate and gather evidence on August 10, 2019. Carrie has contacted the Sheriff's Department several more times to provide additional information, including the fact that a single eBay seller has listed the four major components of the ham station.

The burglars also stole many tools, a four-piece folding ladder, food and household items (including a half-used bottle of shampoo), towels, pillow cases, a bed comforter and even a red bikini that was hanging in the bathroom.

The burglars did not steal the two towers with rotators or the antennas (an A4 tribander and M2 Yagis for 6 and 2 meters). Nor did they steal the furniture. But they did steal art works from the walls.

Anyone who considers purchasing these specific items on eBay should be aware that this is stolen property and that the S.B. Sheriff's office is monitoring the eBay listings as part of an ongoing investigation. The serial numbers are listed in the nationwide law enforcement registry of stolen goods.

73 to all except the burglars,

Wayne, N6NB
