[SCCC] FT4 on 7047

I for one totally disagree. Except for contests the CW Bands are virtually empty of CW Signals. It’s an incredible waste of bandwidth

By contrast, the digital modes are effectively channelized - usually less than 3KHz yet in spite of the small bandwidth utilization can be full of hundreds of Q’s.when the CW areas are still empty In fact, according to LOTW, FT8 makes up a majority of all Q’s. Looks like FT4 will be a dominant RTTY Contest mode.

If anything CW bands are far too large for their utilization

No; I strongly agree. In fact, even though I'm aware it's a losing cause, I urge pushing both ft4 and ft8 up into the phone band where they belong, with all their modulated tones. If you overdrive a CW or RTTY signal, so what, it doesn't make it spread out and splatter (although bad keying may create key clicks). But overdrive a modulated-tone mode and it spreads all over the place, as some europeans are doing right now.
