Don--- You may be interested in a response from Tadek, SP7HT, to Bill W4ZV
concerning the measurements in his article.Tadek acknowledges that they
relate more to spacing normally encountered in casual DXing rather than what
is usually the norm in the heat of a contest.

Bills post (several) started out as "Sept/Oct NCJ article on DX Prowess" I
think. It can be read in the archives (this month) of the
CQ-Contest at contesting.com. You may want to search back to the start of the
thread --- may date back into last month ?
