[SECC] Alabama QSO Party

Here is my take on this based on my experience....

You need to have someone run the QSO Party that is enthusiatic about it. They must be willing to do the work to "rally the troups" and get people to be active from in-state. Having some rover activity is also important. If there
are at least 3 or so rover stations driving around the state that will keep the out of state participants interested. Publishing the results in a timely manner and having an awards program will help increase activity as well.

You should never have one person handle all the tasks involved in running the QSO party. Have a contest director who delgates tasks such as log checking, promotion, awards program, etc....

I would vote for SECC to sponsor the AQP, but it should be run by our AL members. I also think we should make it a priority to redo the SECC circle so
we can include stations such as K4WI and others inside the circle as full members. There is no need to have our circle extend into TN since the TCG covers the whole state of TN....
