I could talk to John (k4BAI) and if you were interested in driving down this way one night for dinner OR maybe John , Fred and a bunch of us could get together someplace in Newnan - not far from WW4LL one night...

In Atlanta there is Stone Mountain Park - http://www.stonemountainpark.com/ and the new Georgia Aquarium http://www.georgiaaquarium.org/

As far as camping... here are the closest state parks to WW4LL - http://gastateparks.org/georgia/parks/list.asp?regionid=124
If you like the mountains - North GA is really nice.  If you like the beach - Savannah and the barrier islands are only about a 
5 hour drive from Atlanta.

Georgia has it all - beaches , mountains, big city stuff - all less than 5 hours from downtown ATL...
