[SEDXC] A CFL Bulb Issue

The description of a CF bulb has already been covered here,
so I'd like to throw in my $0.02 on them.

I haven't had any RFI problems with CF bulbs, but have
noticed that many of the ones I bought (various brands)
tended to fail quickly, which would make them more
expensive. I still have a few in use that haven't failed
yet.

I switched to the more expensive and very low power
consumption LED bulbs, but only when they're on sale, and so
far have been pleased with them. You just have to be careful
you don't accidently get too high of a color temperature. Of
course, that's personal preference, but I prefer a slightly
lower color temperatures to get the classic incandescent
bulb warm white color.

Then there's the issue of Chinese vs. USA manufacture which
I'll leave to others with more experience to comment on.

>What is a "CFL" bulb and how do we recognize one without
looking at the lettering on it? Thanks. 73, John, K4BAI.
