[SEDXC] A CFL Bulb Issue

Paul - you've had good experience with you various LED bulbs
vis a vis RFI/EFI?

I have one 7.5 Watt / 40 Watt equivalent LED bulb about a
foot from my Elecraft KX3 and LDG tuner and I can turn it on
and off and notice no difference. It was $8.99 on sale at
Home Depot.  I have 5 LED bulbs of two different types in
the kitchen and can't hear any difference when they're
switched on and off.  That's about 50 feet from the KX3.
Antenna is a Mystery Antenna with the center up about 70
feet in the backyard not too far from the house.  Not very
scientific but that's my experience.

 

I've been wondering about that and wasn't quite sure I was
ready to take the plunge...

 

Well, consider trying one LED bulb to check it out.  If it
causes RFI you can return it for interfering with an FCC
licensed radio station.
