[Skimmertalk] Remote SDR RX - how to do it?

I hope this group may have the answer.  I have a friend who wants to set 
up a separate receiver some 50 KM from his home station for use mainly 
on 160M, because his noise level is high at home.  What is the best 
hardware/software combination to do this?
