DISCUSSION OF DAILY SOLAR SPACE AND GEOMAGNETIC WEATHER-

Solar activity is moderate as far as the emergence of the number of new 
sunspot groups. Currently there are 6 numbered and 1 new un-numbered sunspot 
groups.

Solar activity is moderate (4 solar flares) as far as the number of new 
solar flares and their magnitude. The largest solar flare in the past 24 
hour period was a small C8.4.

The daily solar flux index (SFI) has been above 100 for 4 consecutive days, 
currently at 112.5.

The daily sunspot number (SSN) has languished below 100 for 19 consecutive 
days, currently at 79.

The geomagnetic field had been unsettled for 1 consecutive day with the Kp 
(planetary) index as high as a 3, but is now quiet. Following are the 24 
hour 3 hour Kp (planetary) intervals 21111111.

The Dst ranged between +46 and +28.
