W4HM DISCUSSION OF DAILY SOLAR SPACE AND GEOMAGNETIC WEATHER-
For Monday March 11, 2013

Solar activity was low as far as the emergence of the number of new sunspot 
groups. There were 2 new un-numbered sunspot groups and 8 existing numbered 
sunspot groups.

Solar activity was moderate as far as the number of solar flares, 5 
occurred. The largest solar flare in magnitude was a small in size C1.6, 
which occurred at approximately N12E88 and associated with sunspot group 
#11695.

Via NOAA SWPC the daily solar flux index (SFI) had been at or above 100 for 
13 consecutive days, currently at 119.7.

Via NOAA SWPC the daily sunspot number (SSN) had been at or above 100 for 1 
day, currently at 105.

The geomagnetic field had been other than quiet for 1 day with the Kp 
(planetary) index reaching a 3, which was unsettled geomagnetic conditions. 
As collected by GFZ Helmholtz Potsdam, Germany the 3 hour Kp (planetary) 
intervals were 32100001 . As collected by NOAA SWPC Boulder, CO, USA the 3 
hour Kp (planetary) intervals were 22211111.

Via Kyoto U. the Dst ranged between +14 and -5.

Via SOHO and www.sollen.info the solar wind values ranged between 289-335.

Via NOAA/SWPC the maximum southward movement of the vertical component (Bz) 
of Earth's magnetic field was -2 nT.

Via NOAA SWPC the maximum background x-ray solar flux value was B2.5.

Via NOAA SWPC the energetic proton flux was < 10 MeV (10+0).

Via NOAA SWPC the energetic electron flux was < 2 MeV (2+0), 292 pfu.
