[TenTec] Unsubscribing???

Yes, that's right, but the "mailman" user interface
(same as used by many mailing lists) is notoriously
user-unfriendly.  If you can find the right box to
enter (at the bottom of the first page), you need to
enter your email address.  [That's already a problem
for some of us who use multiple addresses - you have
to know which one you used to enroll with.]  Then you
click the "unsubscribe or enter options" button and
you are presented with a "password" box.  [What is
your list password?  Hopefully not your normal
password, since mailman security is not high.]  If you
can't remember it, then apparently you need to click
the "remind" button, have a cup of coffee, read your
email, and come back.

You might THINK you need to do all the above, but it's
not true. If you just click "unsubscribe" on the
second screen, you will get an email confirmation
request.  If you reply to that request, your
subscription will stop.

The instructions kind of say all this, but they aren't
clear enough for non-computer folks or perhaps for
non-native English speakers.  Blame the free
GNU/mailman program, which is no triumph of interface
design. 

On the other hand, an Orion user should have no
trouble at all. ;-)
