[TenTec] Why is the Jupiter better?

I don't think the Jupiter has internal thermal issues as it appears the
746 does.  Check out the eHam reviews here: 
http://www.eham.net/reviews/detail/1951  And in the remote chance that
there is a problem with it, TT will make it good through their superb
service department.  Also, running a tuner with the IC's is a must if
your SWR is > 1.5:1.  The TT power amps are much more forgiving of SWR's
up to 3:1. (And the TT tuners appear to handle a much wider range of
impedances than the ICOM internal tuners, at least from my experience
with both of them).  For whatever that's worth....
