I have been using Logic for years - first with my Pro and FT100D and now with
the Orion II. I am not sure what you mean by not interfacing directly, but
all I have is a serial connection between the back of the O2 and my computer.
Logic works seamlessly with it. "Ten Tec Orion" is on the pick list for
selecting radios to interface with. There is a note that baud rate is ignored
and set at 57k. Logic is a very rich program. One cool thing is that dx
cluster spots are color coded by band, mode, etc depending upon whether you
need them for a particular award. I have multiple radios running through the
same program, I believe it can handle 8 with the current verion. I am
currently running version 7, which is one behind. On the flip side, although
flexible as heck, it will drop you into dbase code at the drop of a hat for
customization. Guess there is no free lunch. I haven't tried the other
programs listed, but this one has worked reliably for me with multiple radios
for quite a while.

"N4PY works very well with the Orion II and also interfaces using the Pegasus
OLE interface with most programs, including CommCat. I tried the CommCat
demo but found it didn't do what I wanted, so I went with LOGic until
something better comes along. LOGic also does not interface directly with
the Orion II but it does work with N4PY with no problem. Once everything is
set up, the interface runs very smoothly.

LOGic is more designed to work with TRX Mgr, but TRX does not support the
Orion II and although it can be 'forced' to work with the Orion II, it does
so very poorly."
